Fishing for Friends

Community guidelines

Fishing for Friends is for anglers sharing real days on the water. These rules keep it that way. They apply to everything you post — sessions, catches, photos, names and profile details.

What is not allowed

  • No nudity or sexual content

Swimwear is fine, and so is an angler with their shirt off on a hot day. Sexual content is not.

  • No harassment, threats or hate

Do not attack, threaten or target a real person, and do not post content that demeans people for who they are.

  • No imagery meant to shock

Graphic imagery of animals or blood intended to shock or disgust. A normal catch, harvest or cleaning photo is fine — that is what this app is for.

  • No firearms outside a fishing context

Weapons that have nothing to do with the fishing in the post do not belong in it.

  • No illegal or out-of-season fishing

Closed seasons, protected species, undersized fish and banned methods. Know the rules where you fish, and do not post catches taken against them.

  • No faked or AI-generated catches

Log the fish you actually caught. Generated or borrowed photos passed off as your own are removed.

  • No spam, impersonation or political content

Bulk or repetitive promotion, pretending to be somebody else, and political campaigning are all off-topic here.

Reporting and moderation

Any session can be reported from the app. A person reviews every report within 24 hours, and the reported session is hidden while that review is open. If we remove something of yours and you think we got it wrong, email us and a person will look at it again.
