Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Tomislav Jurić-Arambašić, who builds and runs Fishing for Friends as an individual rather than as a company. Using the app means you accept them.
Last updated 21 September 2026.
Your account
You need an account to record sessions, and you must be at least 13 years old to have one. Keep your login details to yourself — what happens on your account is your responsibility. Give us details that are true, and keep them that way.
What you post
Your sessions, catches and photos stay yours. You give us permission to store them and to show them to the anglers your visibility settings allow — nothing more, and it ends when you delete them.
Post only what you have the right to post, and only what actually happened on the water.
Content and behaviour we do not tolerate
There is no tolerance here for objectionable content or for abusive anglers. The community guidelines set out what is not allowed and they are part of these terms. Any session can be reported from the app; a person reviews every report within 24 hours, and the reported session is hidden while that review is open. We remove content that breaks the guidelines and we end the accounts of anglers who keep breaking them.
Pro subscription
Recording is free for your first 10 sessions. Pro removes that limit and is sold as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription, with an introductory free trial when one is offered. The price and the trial are shown on the purchase screen before you buy.
Apple takes the payment and manages the subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that period ends, and cancelling is done in your App Store subscription settings rather than in this app. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are Apple's to give, under their terms.
Fishing is your responsibility
Licences, closed seasons, protected species, size limits and permitted methods are yours to know and follow wherever you fish. The app records what you tell it; it does not check any of that for you.
Maps, GPS tracks and weather in the app are for recording a day's fishing, not for navigation or for deciding whether it is safe to go out. Do not rely on them at sea.
Ending it
Delete your account whenever you like, in Profile, then Settings, then Delete account. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or the guidelines. If we end yours and you think we got it wrong, email us and a person will look again.
The app as it is
We work to keep Fishing for Friends running and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable or never lose data, and we are not liable for a catch you did not land or a trip that did not go to plan.
Changes and contact
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. Anything else, email support@fishingforfriends.com.
